Terms and Conditions

"The rules that govern access to OpinVox, including accounts, user content, acceptable use, paid features, and liability limits."

These Terms are written for a global audience. Mandatory consumer protections and local laws may still apply based on where you live.

1. Acceptance And Eligibility

By accessing or using OpinVox, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and any policies incorporated into them, including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and Refund Policy.

You represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement and are at least 16 years old, or older if your local law requires a higher age for online services or paid digital products.

2. Accounts And Security

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and all activity that occurs under your account unless the activity results from our own security failure.

You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.

  • Do not impersonate another person or create accounts using false identity details.
  • Do not share credentials in a way that undermines account security or licensing limits.
  • Keep your email address and profile details reasonably current so we can contact you about service or security issues.

3. Ownership Of Technology And User Data

OpinVox and its licensors own the Service, including the software, interfaces, visual design, ranking systems, moderation systems, trademarks, logos, and all related intellectual property rights.

You retain ownership of the content and personal data you submit to the Service. However, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, format, moderate, analyze, and otherwise process that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Service.

This license ends when your content is deleted from our active systems, except to the extent we must retain copies for backups, security, evidence preservation, or legal compliance.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use OpinVox only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the safety, stability, or integrity of the platform or the rights of others.

  • Do not harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or abuse other users.
  • Do not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or malicious content.
  • Do not use bots, scrapers, automation, or reverse engineering except where we expressly permit it in writing.
  • Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, moderation systems, paywalls, or security features.
  • Do not introduce malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt the Service.
  • Do not misuse debate data, user data, rankings, or outputs to build competing services without authorization.
  • Do not use the Service to violate export controls, sanctions, privacy laws, or the rights of minors.

5. Paid Features, Billing, And Taxes

OpinVox may offer free and paid plans, premium analytics, hosted arenas, research access, or other digital features. If you purchase a paid feature, you agree to pay all disclosed fees, charges, and applicable taxes.

Unless we state otherwise at checkout, paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing cycle until canceled. You can cancel future renewals at any time, but cancellation does not retroactively reverse charges already validly incurred.

Payment processing may be handled by third-party providers. We do not store full payment card details unless expressly stated in a separate notice.

6. Suspension And Termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately, with or without notice where legally permitted, if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, engaged in fraud, abused refunds or chargebacks, or used the Service in a way that harms users or the platform.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute terms, and accrued payment obligations, will continue to apply.

7. Disclaimers

OpinVox is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that any debate outcome, moderation action, ranking, AI-assisted output, or factual claim will be accurate, complete, or fit for your particular purpose.

User content reflects the views of the person who posted it, not necessarily our views. You are responsible for how you rely on information obtained through the Service.

8. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpinVox, its affiliates, and its personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity arising out of or related to the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including certain consumer rights or liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury where the law forbids exclusion.

9. Governing Law And Disputes

Except where mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

You and OpinVox agree that disputes will be brought before the competent courts in India unless an applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.

10. Changes To The Service Or Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service and may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will post the updated Terms on the Service and revise the effective date above.

Your continued use of OpinVox after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
